Happy almost March! We almost made it to spring! This has been a pretty cold and snowy winter for most of us. I hope everyone is making the most of the freezing, dark winter days. I actually enjoy “hibernating” a little. It is so nice to be cozy inside by the fire with a warm cup of tea or working away in my studio mixing up lots of fun new colors and painting inside with a lovely candle lit, listening to my favorite podcast or music. The winter has been a wonderful time for me to create a brand new collection that is releasing Saturday February 28th on the KP Art Collective.

Harbor View With Hydrangeas Collection

This series is a tribute to joyful, breezy days of summer on the water and the stunning hydrangeas gardens that surround the charming cottages along the island where I live part of the year. It is meant to bring summer into your home all year long and to bring peace and serenity into your space. Living on a quaint, historic island in the middle of Lake Erie, life moves a bit slower. Enjoying the peaceful beauty in simple moments is what I treasure.

We have a little sailboat we often take out and sail between the islands and it inspires so much of my work.

Each painting in this collection is meant to preserve that joyful and serene feeling and I hope it brings a sense of calm, lightness and serenity that reflects the timeless beauty of life on the water.

As Seen in Meg Young’s Gorgeous Nantucket Home

I have been lucky enough to work with Meg Young, the founder of Cailini Coastal for the past six years. I have sold many paintings through her online shop and last year she asked me to paint her a very special painting for her Nantucket home. I loved creating this painting and adore how it looks in her gorgeous space. Her Nantucket home was even featured on one of my favorite shows, Homeworthy! In the show you can see my painting!
