Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your spring! We are getting teased with warm weather in Ohio then it gets really cold the next day! Spring is always very temperamental here in the Midwest.

To get me through these colder days, I created a brand new series for the KP Art Collective that will launch in mid April, just in time for Mother’s Day gifting! These small original framed paintings are called the Sea Breeze Wildflower series and is inspired by mom’s island wildflower garden.

Painting these wildflower paintings was so joyful and it made me so happy to create a series of paintings inspired by my special memories of the colorful flowers that annually bloom each year at my parents’ cottage. They have always inspired my art and my daughters also enjoy them. I have fond memories of my girls creating colorful little bouquets to place around the cottage. These little flower arrangements bring so much life to wherever they are placed, on the kitchen table, in the guest bedroom, any spot they can find. It is amazing how fresh flowers can liven up any space!

My mom plants these wildflowers from seeds every couple of years, never knowing what will return. Somehow, each summer brings a new mix of colors, textures and a variety of beauty. I feel like these wildflowers symbolize that what we faithfully plant, God has a way of growing into something more than we could ever imagine!

These wildflower paintings include four original 5 x 7 acrylic paintings on paper that will come matted and framed in gold. Throughout the paintings I made sure to include little flecks of gold paint which really look beautiful with the frames. Each pieces is designed to bring a sense of color and life into a space, whether styled on a shelf, or hung on the wall.
