Spring in the Studio
Hello friends! Happy last day of April! My goal for 2025 has been to write a monthly blog post. I am literally writing April’s blog post on the very last day of the month…haha. It has been that kind of month- very busy! This will be a quick update and I plan to blog a lot more in the summer months. I am a high school art teacher so this time of year is super busy but hoping it calms down soon. Our annual high school art show is tomorrow so life has been very crazy getting all of my student artwork ready for display.
My family and I have also been going to our island house every weekend to work on the landscaping and interior. I am loving it so much and will definitely share more about it this summer. Our island house is located on a small island in the middle of Lake Erie and it has been such a lovely place to escape every weekend!
For this post, I just wanted to share a couple of photos of what has been going on behind the scenes in my little corner of the world. The major thing happening besides the upcoming high school art show and our island house has been my collection for Cailini Coastal that I have been working on since January. I am so excited for it and have created 50 original paintings that will be released at the end of May. Here is a quick sneak peak- more to come very soon!
The May 2025 collection coming soon! Inspired by living on the island and summers along the coast.
One of the orchids in the collection. Many of the artwork will come framed in a handcrafted frame created by my talented husband.
Sea Glass Waters and Boats. I am always inspired by the gorgeous sea glass I find along the shore. I tried to incorporate the colors of the glass into the water.
I am so excited about this upcoming collection! I will be posting more here on the blog and on my instagram the next couple of weeks. I hope you enjoy your last day of April and that your spring is going great! Have an amazing day and thanks for stopping by today:)
xoxo,
Michelle
