Sailboats, Hydrangeas and French Doors
Happy October 1st everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful fall! I love this time of year. The leaves are changing and the air is getting a bit chillier but still sunny and pleasant out. Things have been very busy lately with school starting (I am a high school art teacher) and my family has been working on our island cottage every single weekend. Very hard to get much accomplished at home but I am not complaining! So grateful to have an island cottage in the making.
Life has been very busy…very busy..however, I was able to squeeze in a series that will release October 5th on Dress the Room Charleston. It is a series that is inspired by incorporating my favorite blue and white color scheme along with French doors, sailboats and the water. Our new island cottage has French doors and looking through them has really inspired me. I thought it would be fun to incorporate them into some paintings.
This series consists of 6 x 6 paintings and some 8 x 8 paintings all completed on gallery wrap canvases. I have been bringing the canvases back and forth to the island and working on them as much as I can there and in my studio back home.
So excited to release these paintings to you and I hope they find wonderful new homes! I will be creating larger paintings this late fall and winter especially because the ferries to the island stop around Thanksgiving. If you would like to reach out about a commission, that will be the time to do so! Otherwise, stay tuned for October 5th!
